About two weeks ago I came across a garage sale and scored this awesome tin cabinet. The couple was moving and downsizing their belongings. The cabinet use to belong to her father. She added a nice coat of cream paint. It’s in excellent condition and I got it for $5.00. Does it get any better than that?
Yes, it gets better. I also got a free shopping trip. Let me explain. Adding a new piece of furniture to my office means that something else has to go due to having limited space. Which also means that I had to go through bins of supplies that I previously purchased. I got hung up on all the items that I never used. Felt like I was at Hobby Lobby filling up my cart.
I forgot to take a before picture of what used to stand in this place. It was one of those grey tube shelves that you just pop the pieces in place. You can tell by the photo above that the old shelf was much wider. And it was open, with no doors. Having three dogs running around everywhere makes it a bit challenging in regards to not collecting dog hair on everything. The new cabinet was enclosed, so that will help.
See the bookshelf on the left? I store the white bins of rubberstamps there. This was from my Grandma’s house and I’m thinking of adding a curtain to it. Anyone try that before? Maybe a few small pieces of velcro instead of a curtain rod? Your input is greatly appreciated. Feel free to leave me a comment below.
Do you get excited when you’ve completed a small makeover in your working space? Makes everything new again.
P.S. It’s almost time to put the garden in. Yeah!
