Today was one of those bittersweet kind of days. Earlier this week my Mom told me that my Vintage NKOTB tour jacket had sold at the store. I was excited to hear that. Finally, I told myself. More guys had shown interest in it than the girls, so I was surprised to hear that a girl purchased it.
Then when I walked into the shop today to open up I felt empty. I stopped at the spot it “use to” hang in the clothing section. It’s gone! Did I make a mistake in selling it? I feel like a piece of my past has been ripped away. Then I told myself, I should of kept it.
Oh well, I’m sure this feeling will pass. (Will I ever see another coat like this again?) I pray that it’s going to a good home. Perhaps it’s a good thing that I wasn’t working when it sold. I actually might of produced a tear or two (or three).
I have two more handmade projects to complete for my nephew’s birthday celebration tomorrow so this weeks Top 10 List is going to be a bit different. Mostly because my conscious is filling me with guilt if I don’t post tonight. I’m okay with the guilt. Keeps me focused and on track with life.
Let’s revisit some music from our past. My NKOTB coat dates back to 1989. That was a good year. I was soon to be a high school graduate and set free in the world to make mistakes.
According to Billboard’s Top Hits, here’s there list of Top 10 Songs.
Here’s ten more that made there way to a cassette tape in my house. I need to create a Mix Tape series of cards for my Etsy shop. (IDEA)
1. Love Song, The Cure.
2. Patience, Guns N’ Roses.
3. Stand, R.E.M.
4. Poison, Alice Cooper.
5. This Time I Know It’s For Real, Donna Summer.
6. What I Am, Edie Brickell and The New Bohemians.
7. Bust a Move, Young M.C.
8. When The Children Cry, White Lion.
9. Batdance, Prince.
10. Look Away, Chicago.
Have a great weekend!
Until the next word…
