Today’s Catnap

March 19, 2016

Two more days and it’s officially SPRING here in the Midwest!

Kinda crazy how this one photo inspired the whole catnap project.

Take a look back at how far we’ve come here.

Until the next nap…

Today’s Catnap

February 27, 2016

Fresh air, green grass, and blue skies!  What more could one want?
We’re almost through our stack of catnap photos.  No worries, Spring is right around the corner and we’ll soon be on the road collecting more moments.
*Fact:  This place no longer exists.  The area has been commercialized into office space and a sky-walk.  This is why we’re encouraging you to get out and take more photos.  Capture those moments before they are a piece of the past.
Are you new to the catnap series?  Start with this post.  And then catch up here.
Until the next nap…

Today’s Catnap

February 12, 2016

Today’s Catnap has us craving those warm Summer days!  It’s very cold here in the Midwest.
Not to much longer and we’ll be playing in the dirt cleaning out the flower beds.  As well as planting our own vegetable garden.
Oh, better days are ahead!  Hang in there, right?
Can you believe there’s been nineteen installments of this blog series?  Crazy but fun!
Until the next nap…

Today’s Catnap

February 6, 2016

Today’s Catnap takes us to a storefront in Galena, IL.  All That’s Vintage graciously allowed us to capture this photograph in their store.
We’re anxiously awaiting for Springs arrival.  Although the Winter season hasn’t been all that bad some tulips and green grass would be nice.
If you’re new to the Catnap series, “thank you” for visiting.  Make sure you check out previous installments here.  If you’ve been here since day 1, “thanks” for tagging along.
Until the next nap…

Today's Catnap by Eightymillion Photography

Cooler temps have arrived here in the Midwest.  My boyfriend and I are NOT a big fan of Winter and all that comes with it.

This is one of the last images we captured before our first snowfall landed.  It’s very cold and damp outside and there will be more snow to come.

Therefore we have decided to continue this blog series throughout the Winter months using images we haven’t shared yet.  Because realistically, who takes a catnap outside in the Winter?

Come Spring of 2016 we’ll be back out there!  On the pavement, in the grass, and wherever else the project takes us.  Thanks for following along.

If you’re new to the series start here.  And then visit the entire collection of photos here.

Today’s Catnap

October 17, 2015

The air is crisp and the leaves are changing fast here in the Midwest.  We’re soaking up every minute of this gorgeous Fall season!
This project started with one photo and has evolved into a collection of moments.  This is why I love taking pictures.

Today’s Catnap

October 3, 2015

Fall has arrived and the weather here in the Midwest has been gorgeous!
So what better way to soak up the crisp air than to take a catnap…outdoors…on a sidewalk that leads to the Mississippi River.
Are you new to this series?  It all began with one photo.
