The Heat Wave and a Dog’s Nose

March 19, 2012

Two more days and then it’ll officially be Spring.  Mother Nature has been giving us some unseasonable warm weather.  I’m not complaining. It’s been in the 80s for almost a week and I refuse to turn the air conditioner on.
I dug the fan out of the garage and placed it in the window to give the boys some relief.  As you can observe from the picture above, my youngest, is enjoying it.  Funny how the breeze makes his ears stick out.  Hardy, to the right, is satisfied by squeezing through the opening to see outside. Yesterday I caught House licking the fan while it was running.  He was warned as to what happens if he continues that activity.
And with Spring approaching comes the garden.  Life is coming back in the flower beds.  I’m looking forward to playing in the dirt.
How’s the weather in your neck of the woods?

Cute picture! How does between 30 and 40 degrees with prediction of rain or snow almost daily? I so wish we had some unseasonably warm weather!

That photo is too cute! (though I'm glad you nipped in fan licking in the bud, that could have had a rather messy ending!).

We are just now getting the first signs of Spring – I've been outside for the past two days without my Winter jacket on for the first time in months, it feels very nice indeed!
