An Early Birthday Gift

August 19, 2012

During my Sister’s visit this past June I was presented with an early birthday gift.  We were all sitting at the dining room table when my niece came down the hall dragging a large bag.  As she got closer she said, “Happy Early Birthday Aunt Jennifer.”  Her voice is so sweet.
Once I could see that it was a Trader Joe’s recycle bag full of goodies my eyes lit up.  I had received a package from them earlier and loved it all.  So, you could imagine the look on my face when I saw there was a container of their chocolate chip cookies in there.  They were consumed within the first couple of days.  Which explains why they weren’t in the photo.  A little disc of buttery chocolate that melts in your mouth.  Okay, focus…
My sister lives right down the street from a Trader Joe’s (I wish I did).  Dubuque needs one of these stores.  Their website shows that there is one 72.40 miles from my house.
I was most pleased to find a product list on their website specifically for Vegetarians.  Follow their recipe tab as a guide for meal planning.
I truly believe that I’ve discovered my second favorite food store.  My first being The Calico Bean, which is local.  The two outlets will go great together.
New Bucket List Entry:  Take time out of my busy schedule to drive to Madison, WI.
“Thank You” again to my Sister’s family for the awesome birthday gift!
Until the next word…
