How I’m Overcoming my fear of being on video

October 19, 2017

Please note: This post contains affiliate links. The content and opinions below are 100% mine. I take pride helping others promote their products/services in which I have used and can back 100%.

Just about four years ago I created my YouTube channel. Quite proud of myself actually as it was one of my goals for a long time. Came up with a clever name and lots of ideas for DIY projects.

Guess what happened next?

NOTHING! Not one video was uploaded. Over the past four years I’ve continued to collect ideas and just recently I added some info in the About section. But still it sits empty. My boyfriend has all of the video recording equipment and can be ready at a moments notice, but still it sits empty.

Don’t get me wrong. There are pages and pages of content. The inspiration never stops.

So, what’s holding me back from sharing my gifts with you?

I’m terrified to be on camera. Crazy right? I’m not even comfortable with having my photo taken. (Says the photographer).

In comes Petrina. We connected a few months back through a mutual Facebook group. Her upcoming challenge is going to help me smash these fears and build up my confidence when it comes to recording videos. You can read more about it here.

If you can relate to this post please join me and let’s do this together! The challenge starts on Monday, October 23rd. Click here for some additional insight from Petrina herself on what to expect during those 5 days. If you know anyone that can benefit from this, please share this post. Thanks!

I’ll be back with an update after the challenge is over. Wish me luck!

Until the next word…
